Yoga Paradise: A Tropical Yoga Retreat

Join Caitlin Pascucci and Sarah Diedrick for a 7-night, 8-day yoga retreat in Santa Teresa, Costa Rica for a chance to fill your cup and experience complete relaxation.

This retreat is for you if you:

  • Want to gift yourself true self-care - the kind that will fill you up so you can go back into your regular routine feeling invigorated &inspired.

  • Want more time with your practice. A retreat is sort of like a mini training. We get the time and space to go deeper than we would in a group class, meaning we can focus on ways (specific to you) that we can enhance and refine your practice. Take these lessons into your group classes and watch your practice grow.

  • Are looking to deepen your yoga and meditation practices with closer attention from your yoga teachers. Get a chance to fine tune your alignment, receive assists and guidance on deepening your asana practice, and receive accountability around practicing meditation.

  • Are open to creating a deeper connection with others on the retreat as we share a sacred space.

  • Want to treat yourself to ultimate relaxation and restoration. Costa Rica is rich with tropical fruits and food from the land. Rise early to a symphony of bird sounds, stroll the beach & watch all the surfers, luxuriate in healthy food, rest in the sunshine and nourish yourself from the inside out.

This package includes:

  • 7 night, 8 day stay in Santa Teresa, Costa Rica

  • Daily breakfast

  • One group surfing lesson & excursion

  • Daily morning meditation

  • Twice daily yoga practice taught by Caitlin and Sarah

  • After-dinner activities

  • Optional: 10-hour Teacher Tuneup program for yoga teachers (more information below).

What a typical day will look like:

  • Morning: meditation (ideally on the beach!) followed by breakfast & a morning yoga practice

  • Afternoon: time to explore, enjoy the beach, eat lunch. If you choose to partake in the Tune Up program, 2 hours of the afternoon will be dedicated to that. Lunch is available at many local vendors and restaurants for around $10/meal.

  • Evening: group yoga class, dinner, and an optional group activity.

Each day will be different and we will keep participants updated with a daily schedule. Yoga classes will vary from a high energy flow to restorative. This retreat is open to everyone - yogis and non-yogis alike!

Caitlin and Sarah lead this retreat with thoughtfulness and love. It was easily the most amazing week-long experience of my life and I would do it again with them in a heartbeat! Caitlin and Sarah’s slow, juicy flows complimented the Costa Rican climate perfectly. I felt like I was riding a wave all week. The perfect balance of fun and relaxing, yin and yang.

I’ve tried to re-write this a few times to sound less dramatic but I’m just going to come right out and say it...that was the best experience of my life. I am in awe of how Caitlin and Sarah can take a big group of women, most of whom don’t know each other, and immediately help them to feel at ease and supported. Between the rooftop yoga watching the stars, surfing, family dinners, healthy lunches and walks to get fresh coconut water, I can’t think of anything that would have made the experience more valuable. I have returned home to Burlington a better yogi, a more compassionate person and a little bit tanner. Can’t wait until the next one - I’ll follow Caitlin and Sarah wherever they go.

Our mission is to foster a stronger sense of connection within the global teaching community; to gather together as a group of teachers who believe in continued education and are dedicated to building on skills that both deepen their own practice and allow them to more powerfully serve their local community and students.

Our intention is to offer yoga teachers - both new and seasoned - support and mentorship that will help sustain inspiration and build on necessary skill sets.

Why? We have found - through the years of our own teaching experience as well as hearing feedback from our teacher trainees - that what is highly desired is continued support that extends beyond the boundaries of teacher training. We learn, absorb and engage so immersively during teacher training that it can feel challenging to be birthed from the womb of teacher training and figure it all out on our own! Many questions may arise as we transition from the comfort of our training group to navigating the yoga world as new teachers. We want to create a resource that fills the gap between leaving teacher training and feeling confident in your role as a teacher. Even if you’ve found your groove, it’s crucial to maintain a heightened sense of inspiration and study through the support of a yoga teacher community.

Join a community of teachers with the shared desire of continuing their yoga studies and, in doing so, build your teacher toolbox.

As part of your Yoga Paradise experience, we’ll spend 2 hours each day focusing on enhancing your skills as a teacher so you can come back to your students feeling renewed and inspired!

Participating teachers have access to the following:

  • A daily theme/focus that allows us time to sift through all the layers of that theme (ex: assisting culture, crafting comprehensive sequences, refining your alignment cues, etc.)

  • Discussions around self care -- this will have more to do with why so many of us decided we love yoga in the first place, and will help preserve our appreciation for the practice. We teach from our own practice. So, the stronger we authentically connect to our own personal practice, the stronger our teaching will be. Self-care is a vital component of a sustainable teaching practice. We’ll dive into what self-care means and looks like within the context of serving others.

  • Content creation and inspiration. Exercises and templates that help you build a mini-manual you can draw from when you go back home.

  • Mentorship. You’ll have a chance for one-on-one time with Caitlin and Sarah to address more personalized questions you have. We will also help you refine your sequences, themes and more. We will be there for you the whole week to provide feedback, offer advice and personal experience as well as give you ideas for how to continue to expand on these areas once you get back home.

  • Access to a mentor & more personalized guidance

  • Feedback from your mentors and peers

  • Daily themes that help you focus on a specific component of teaching.

  • Practice refining: class sequences, alignment cues, themes, anatomy.

  • Important discussions around topics such as: student/teacher relationships, intentional assisting, self-care, Tantric philosophy, how to build your business, etc.

Here is a list of topics we will cover during our Tune Up Program (order of days may change):

  • Day 1: Business of Yoga: refining your bio and mission statement

  • Day 2: Assisting: hands-on adjustments and refining your assisting practice

  • Day 3: Marketing Content: how to refine your writing for workshops/series/additional offerings & stay consistent with marketing

  • Day 4: Languaging: voice, creating themes, refining alignment cues

  • Day 5: Class Planning: building intelligent sequences, organizing your classes, creating a structure.

  • $300 for early registration [before 1/17/2019] and for Sangha Studio YTT graduates.

  • $350 for regular pricing [after 1/17/2019]

  • Program will take place 2 hours a day for 5 days. Minimum of 4 people required to run this program.
